By on January 27, 2013

Full Time- IT’S A SHOCKER up at Elland Road, as Tottenham Hotspur have been knocked out of the FA Cup in the fourth round by Leeds United. The first goal in the 2-1 game came in the fifteenth minute when Tottenham defenders Kyle Naughton and Steven Caulker let a pass from Leeds’s El-Hadji Diouf dribble through to Luke Varney. Varney to the ball up the left flank and calmly slotted it past Tottenham goalkeeper Brad Friedel. Even though Tottenham dominated the rest of the half, the score stayed 1-0. It looked like Tottenham would equalize in the second half but in the 50 minute a Leeds clearance found El-Hadji Diouf, who passed it to Ross McCormack. McCormack then took the ball to the edge of the box and beautifully curled it past Friedel into the top left corner. As Spurs were still dominating, they managed to pull one back through a Dempsey header in the 58th minute. Leeds sill managed to hold on through the remainder to advance to the FA Cup 5th round.
