West Ham United vs Tottenham Hotspur preview

By on February 25, 2013

This English Premier League London derby is going to be a good one, with Tottenham Hotspur looking to climb into third place with a win.  When the teams met earlier in the season Tottenham won 3-1 with Jermain Defoe scoring a double.  Tottenham have been on good form, winning three of their last five games, with winger Gareth Bale on fantastic form, scoring three amazing free-kicks in Tottenham’s last four games.  Bale could terrorize a West Ham defense that has allowed eleven goals in the last five games, but West Ham have had a critical fifteen day rest due to the FA Cup break, whereas Spurs played just four days ago in the Europa League.

Still, Tottenham are the favorites to win the match and if they do they will go two points ahead of Chelsea into third place in the Premier League.  West Ham sit at the other end of the table though, and if they lose, they would remain just six points above the relegation zone.  But a win would be crucial for both teams, making this a good match to watch.
