Thank you Football Blogging Awards!

By on November 13, 2014

Even if we at Football Every Day had a team of writers at tonight’s Football Blogging Awards, for which we were nominated in the “Young Blogger” category, we could not have met every talented journalist present at the awards ceremony held at the National Football Museum in Manchester, England. Thrilled and exhausted, Football Every Day is very proud to have won the Judges Choice award in our category, named by a group of leading journalists including Jacob Steinberg, Oliver Kay, Luke Edwards and Ian Macintosh. Our long trip from San Francisco to Manchester was well worth it! Many thanks to the judges and organizers for the FBAs – we were impressed with the entire event, including the brilliant and interactive exhibits at the National Football Museum. It is hard to imagine what next year (as the event, currently in its third year, absolutely has to continue) will be like.

Capitalizing on our trip to England, we look forward to covering live matches during the coming week, starting with tomorrow’s USA vs Columbia international friendly at Craven Cottage. Then we will head to Wembley for Saturday’s Euro qualifier between England and Slovenia. More will follow next week as well, please keep up to date with our news live from England via the site, as well as on Twitter at @FootballEvryDay.
