FA Cup EXTRA
Today on FA Cup EXTRA I will be reviewing the FA Cup match Norwich vs Luton Town. The final score (0-1) was a huge upset, and Luton Towns win against Norwich was the first time in twenty-four years that a non-league side knocked a top tier club out of the FA Cup. So, here is the review.
Norwich 0-1 Luton Town
Norwich were punished for their lack of finishing chances, which they had often. Their best chance in the first half came when a corner was initially met by Norwich’s Russell Martin but found it’s way to Leon Barnett who’s header hit the bar. It took until the eightieth minute for either side to find the net, and at that point the run of play was still slightly favoring Norwich. It happened when Luton’s Stuart Fleetwood’s pass freed Jonathan O’Donnell down the left, who then cut the ball across to Scott Rendell who slotted it past Norwich goalkeeper Declan Rudd at the front post. After that Norwich never looked like they would equalize, and the game ended 1-0.
