MOTD preview- Celtic vs Juventus

By on February 11, 2013

This round of sixteen Champions League match is going to be a big one, with Juventus traveling to Celtic Park to face Scottish champions Celtic. The last time the two teams met was in October 2001 in the Champions League group stage, in which Celtic won 4-3 at Celtic Park, and the other tie of the stage Juventus won 3-2. This year Juventus topped Group E with twelve points to make it into the round of sixteen, whereas Celtic got second in Group G with ten points. Juventus’s group was made up of them, Chelsea, Shakhtar Donetsk, and FC Nordsjaelland, and the other team to qualify for the round of sixteen from the group was Shakhtar Donestk, who tied Chelsea on points with ten. Celtic’s group included them, Barcelona, Benfica, and Spartak Moscow, but Celtic were not favored to qualify from the group, but their fantastic 2-1 win verses Barcelona at Celtic Park nudged them past Benfica. Juventus is expected to win the match, but Neil Lennon’s squad could get win. Whomever wins, the match is sure to be a good one, so look out for my full time review of it, right here on Football Every Day!
