MOTD- Celtic 0-3 Juventus
It is full time at Celtic Park, and Juventus have grabbed a 3-0 win against Celtic. The game started in Celtics favor, but in the fourth minute Juventus amazingly took the lead on a counter attack. Juventus hit a long ball to Alessandro Marti, and Celtic defender Efe Ambrose tried to head it out, but he jumped under the ball and Marti was put in on goal. His shot went past Celtic goalkeeper Fraser Forster, but cleared off the line by Celtic defender Kelvin Wilson, but the clearance went straight to Juventus’s Claudio Marchisio who poked the ball in from six yards out. Celtic was dominating the game and they almost equalized in the twenty-eighth minute when Kris Commons’s bicycle kick from a Mikael Lustig cross went just wide of the far post. Juventus looked most likely to score on counter attacks, athough they had few of them. Celtic was still in control when the second half started, although they got lucky when Kelvin Wilson blocked Juventus’s Mirko Vucinics goal-bound effort from a Juventus counter attack. Celtic continued to dominated the match, but again the were punished for not finishing their chanced on a Juventus counter attack in the seventieth- eighth minute. Marchisio took a perfectly weighted through ball from Marti, and powered it in past an oncoming Forster from eight yards out. Even though Juventus had pretty much won the tie, Celtic continued to dominate, but again Juventus struck on the counter attack in the eighty-third minute. Ambrose was caught with the ball by Marchisio, who unselfishly set up Vucinic who nutmeged Forster and pretty much ended Celtics European hopes. Celtic could not pull one back from there, and the match ended 3-0 Juventus.
