MOTD halftime- Arsenal 0-0 Blackburn Rovers

By on February 16, 2013

This FA Cup Fifth Round match has so far been a good one, with Blackburn Rovers playing Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.  Arsenal started the match on top, but they had to wait for a good chance to come, and the first one came in the twenty-fourth minute, when a Tomas Rosicky corner found an open Abou Diaby, who’s glancing header wad magnificently tipped wide by Blackburn goalkeeper Jake Kean.  Their next chance again came off a Tomas Rosicky corner, and it found the head of Tomas Vermaelen, and his looping header forced Kean to tip it wide.  Arsenal really should have gone ahead in the forty-third minute though, when Rosicky slide a perfectly timed ball through to Gervinho, who horrendously put his shot wide of the post, even though Kean did charge.  The last chance of the half was again an Arsenal shot, but Arteta’s dipping free-kick was easily saved by Kean.  Whatever the score, the match is sure to be a good one, so look out for my full time review of it right here on Football Every Day!
