MOTD preview: Swansea City vs Tottenham Hotspur

By on March 29, 2013

Swansea City are set to take on Tottenham Hotspur at the Liberty Stadium in Wales, with Spurs looking to discontinue the bad form they were on before the international break. Spurs had lost three successive matches before the break, and come into the match off the back of a surprising 1-0 loss to Fulham. Swansea have also been on bad form, losing their last two matches, a 2-0 loss to Arsenal and a 2-1 loss to West Bromwich Albion. Both sides also had multiple players representing their countries, with Swansea’s Ashley Williams, Ben Davies, Ki Sung-yueng and Jonathan de Guzman representing their nationalities, but most of Michael Laudrup lineup were not away. Tottenham had a dozen players out representing their nation, which will give Swansea a boost.

Spurs sit in fourth place in the Premier League and they way things stand will achieve Champions League qualification for the first time since 2011. Swansea are in ninth place, and could have a tough time against Spurs, but will give the London side a run for their money. Gareth Bale and Michu are the side’s top scorers, with Bale being on fantastic form scoring ten goals in his last ten club matches. Whether Bale continues on his good form, the match is sure to be exciting, so look out for my halftime and full time reviews, right here on Football Every Day!
