MOTD preview- Real Madrid vs Galatasaray

By on April 3, 2013

Real Madrid are set to take on Galatasaray at the Bernabeu in the first leg of their Champions League Quarterfinal tie, with Los Blancos looking to continue on their thirty-seven match unbeaten run at the Bernabeu.  Madrid have not lost at home since January 2012, having drawn seven times and winning thirty-four times.  Gala have also been on good form, and have only lost once since November.  Los Blancos have also been on good form in the 2012/2013 Champions League, losing only once in the competition so far this season.  Gala lost their first two Champions League matches this season, but have not lost since then.  Surprisingly, the joint top scorers in this seasons Champions League face off in this match, with Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo and Gala’s Burak Yilmaz both (along with Barcelona’s Lionel Messi) scoring eight goals.  It seems like Madrid should win the match, but amazingly, Gala have come off victors two times out of the last three meetings between the two sides.  Whether Gala continue their good streak against Madrid or not, the match is sure to be exciting, so look out for my full time review, right here on Football Every Day!
