Wenger has squashed rumors of a move to Paris Saint-Germain in the summer

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has rubbished rumors that he would move to French club Paris Saint-Germain over the summer.  PSG’s Qatari owners were reported to be confident that they could prise the Frenchman away from Arsenal and the club reportedly offered a £30 million three-year contract to the manager in January, but Wenger has delayed any confirmation of talks with the Parc des Princes club.

Wenger, who has managed Arsenal for the past seventeen years, hasn’t won any silverware for eight years, but has reaffirmed his desire to see out his current contract with the Gunners which ends in the summer of 2014.   Arsenal are currently locked in a battle to achieve Champions League qualification with Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea, and Everton.   The Gunners, who have been on an eight match unbeaten run, will not welcome the rumors, which could affect the atmosphere around the club.

Wenger said: “First off all I don’t know what’s been said about me.

“I’m concentrating on the next game and the next season.  At the end of my contract I’ll see what I can do.  I’ve always respected my contracts.  I can’t see at my age why that should change.”
