Arjen Robben urges Bayern to keep cool ahead of Champions League final

Bayern Munich winger Arjen Robben has urged his side to keep cool ahead of their Wembley Champions League final date with rivals Borussia Dortmund.  The Dutchman also expressed his excitement at reaching the final for the third time in four years after Bayern’s 3-0 thumping over Barcelona in the semifinal second leg.  Bayern, who recently re-claimed the Bundesliga title, will play fierce rivals Borussia Dortmund in the first ever all-German final on May 25th, which will be a mouthwatering fixture.

Bayern proved themselves to currently be the best club in Europe by thrashing Barcelona 4-0 in Munich in the first leg of their semifinal.  Amazingly, Bayern nearly repeated the feat in the intimidating Nou Camp in the second leg, winning 3-0.  Robben scored once in both legs, and played a key part in both of Bayern’s historic wins.  The twenty-nine-year-old has urged his side to keep cool ahead of the final, which will be the clubs third in four years, although they disappointingly lost in all three of them.

“I think it was a terrific performance (Bayern’s 3-0 win over Barca),” Robben told Sky Sports. “We made a little bit of history here. We played against a team that has dominated Europe for the past five years. It is amazing.

“I think now we have to stay calm. At this moment we are playing good football and we have to enjoy that. Now we are in the final, it’s the third time in the last four years, but it’s time to win it now!  It’s going to be a big one. Dortmund have proven over the last two, three years that they are a very good side.  It’s going to be a big game again which will be decided by the small details.”
