Arsenal have confirmed that Andrei Arshavin, Denilson and Sebastien Squillaci will leave the club over the summer via a statement on their official website. The players’ contracts will all be up at the end of the month, and The Gunners have confirmed the deals will not be renewed, giving manager Arsene Wenger the option of replacing the trio with higher quality players.

The club announced their decision in a statement released on their official website, which read: “Andrey Arshavin, Denilson and Sebastien Squillaci will leave the club when they come to the end of their contracts on June 30. Arsenal would like to take this opportunity to thank them for their contribution and wish them well for the future.”

All three of the players have had disappointing season’s at The Emirates, and Arshavin, who performed well shorty after his move to Arsenal in, 2009, has since lost his position in the side, rarely featuring on the pitch. Meanwhile, Squillaci has failed to break into the Arsenal side since moving to the club in 2011, and after making only seven appearances for the club in the past two seasons, has become Wenger’s fourth choice center back following the signing of Per Mertesacker.

Denilson, who has spent the past two years on loan at San Paolo, has spoken of his wish to return to his homeland Brazil after also failing to make the cut at The Emirates.
