Petition formed to ban USA World Cup jersey

By on March 3, 2014

Nike recently revealed the United States Men’s national team 2014 World Cup jersey, and to put it in a conservative way, have not gotten a very positive response from fans.  In fact, a petition has been started to gave the shirt to be redesigned  “halt the production of the new 2014 US Men’s national team jerseys and return to the centennial kits or draft an improved design”.  Released on Change.org, a leading petition starting website, the petition, while it is unlikely to make Nike change the jersey, underlines the question marks that have been place around the designs of recent USA kits.

While Nike struck gold with their last US kit, a mixture of retro and modern style, their past US kits have been heavily criticized. This time, critics have said that the shirt looks much to like a polo kit, so much so that they created the petition. Whether you sign the petition or not, you have to at least slightly agree with them.
