Moyes Out! David Moyes sacked by Manchester United
Manchester United have finally reached the point which this season has been boiling up to. From being lead what is already guarantee to be their lowest ever finish in the league in over a quarter century, finding themselves knocked out of the FA Cup, League Cup, and Uefa Champions League, and sitting out of a European position in the Premier League, the United board has finally given manager David Moyes that sack.
The club officially broke the news via Twitter, tweeting: “Manchester United announces that David Moyes has left the club.”
“The club would like to place on record its thanks for the hard work, honesty and integrity he brought to the role.”

Moyes, United’s first manager other than the legendary Sir Alex Ferguson in over 25 years, was hand picked as Ferguson’s replacement by the Scot himself, but after such a disastrous ten month tenor even Ferguson agreed he made a mistake in Moyes.
The 50-year-old not only frustrated United faithfuls with his hardly entertaining crossing tactics, but suffered the club’s first time losing both of their league matches against Everton, Liverpool and Manchester City since the Premier League’s inception. Moyes also lead United to their first ever home defeat to Swansea City, and their first home defeats to Newcastle United and West Bromwich Albion since 1972 and 1978, respectively. United currently sit seventh in the league, and are guaranteed their lowest point tally in over 20 years. Of course, everything added up has lead to the English champions terminating the six year contract Moyes singed just 10 months ago. The Scot’s backroom staff Steve Round, Jimmy Lumsden, and Chris Woods are also thought to depart, but Phil Neville, part of United’s famous Class of ’92 and the club’s coaching staff, may be kept on.
Ryan Giggs, one of Moyes’ assistant player-managers during his United regime, is set to replace Moyes as an interim manager of the English side, although the United board have reportedly made it clear he will not become the side’s permanent manager. Thus, managers such as Holland coach Louis van Gaal and Paris Saint-Germain gaffer Laurent Blanc have already been touted as potential successors to Giggs. Real Madird manager Carlo Ancelotti has also been linked with the position, yet Bayern Munich boss Pep Guardiola has firmly declined any interest in leaving his world champion side. He said on the matter: “I’m here. I’m comfortable. I want to stay two more years at Bayern.”
Bayern’s press officer added: “Tell the people in England there is no chance.”
