World Cup INFOGRAPHIC: Who will make it out of Group G?

By on June 25, 2014

The World Cup Group Stages are getting down to the wire. Some groups, in fact, are already finished and decided. But Group G is still completely wide open. All four teams could still make it out of “The Group of Death” with just one round of matches left to play. Germany will play the US and Portugal will play Ghana, but nobody is safe or eliminated yet. But who’s fate relies in who? Take a look at our infographic to see what the chances are of your team making it out of the Group:

The US has an 86% chance of qualifying from the group, and meanwhile, Germany lead the group with a 99.91% chance of advancing, according to data collected by World Soccer Talk. Portugal and Ghana, though, each have less then 10% chances of advancing to the Round of 16. This comes as quite a surprise, considering the fact that the US were considered to be the least potential threat in the group. But after a 2-1 victory over Ghana and a 2-2 draw with Cristiano Ronaldo’s Portugal, Jurgen Klinsmann’s side have proven otherwise. In fact, with a win over Germany they will top the group.
