MOTD preview- Barcelona vs Real Madrid

By on February 25, 2013

This El Clasico in the Spanish Copa del Rey Semifinal second leg is going to be a great game with Madrid needing a win or a scored draw 2-2 or above to make it into the finals.  The first leg ended 1-1 with Barca dominating most of the match but a late Rafael Varane header got Madrid an equalizer.  Both sides have been on decent form, but suffered setbacks in their recent Uefa Champions League matches with Barca losing 2-0 away to AC Milan and Madrid allowing Manchester United to earn a 1-1 draw at the Bernabeu.

Both sides will be hoping that their top players in the world, Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo and Barca’s Lionel Messi, can have a decisive impact on the match.  The two players share a combined total of eighty-eight goals so far this season and both of them have already scored four goals in this year’s Copa del Rey.  But whether Messi and Ronaldo score or not, the match is sure to be exciting, so look out for my full time review, right here on Football Every Day!
